Omaha Bound

The U11 Titans traveled to Omaha on Thursday to compete in the World Series......11 year old style. I wasn't able to attend on Thursday or Friday, so I don't have any photos. They started the festivities off with a Huge Bon Fire, then the kids participated in some skill tests. The boys played bright and early on Friday morning at 8:00am and then again at 10:00am. They lost their first game to a team out of Texas, but won their 2nd game against the Yellow Jackets out of Chicago. As you can see in the background, some of the fields were in some unique parts of town. The biggest disappointment was the fact that there weren't any scoreboards.
The boys went 2 for 2 for the weekend. Due to the weather and some rain delays, it messed up the bracket play, and they didn't have a chance to work their way back up. They played Sunday morning at 8:00am, down 5 to 2 in the bottom of the 6th, and came back and won! It was great to see all the boys smiling again after that game.
